Help Restore Leyland's Walled Garden

The Walled Garden at Worden Park was established in 1777 and turns 250 next year. With your support, we can bring this Grade II listed treasure back to life as a community space for heritage, wellbeing, nature, and connection.

Pledge from as little as £2. Every contribution counts.

The Restoration

Where Your Money Goes

Your pledge goes directly towards restoring the garden's most important features and creating a space the whole community can enjoy.

The Glasshouse

Restoring the Victorian glasshouse as a year-round growing and gathering space for workshops, plant sales, and community events.

The Potting Shed

A working potting shed at the heart of the garden where volunteers can prepare, propagate, and learn together.

Community Programmes

A dementia-friendly, accessible space for workshops, music, arts, heritage learning, and wellbeing programmes open to everyone.

Three Simple Steps

How It Works

Pledge £25 or more and you'll unlock two special rewards as a thank you for your early support.

1

Pledge on Spacehive

Head to our Spacehive campaign and make your pledge. Every penny goes towards restoring the Walled Garden. Your pledge is only taken if the campaign reaches its target.

2

Plant Your Root on the Map

Add your name and a personal message to the Roots of the Garden interactive supporter map. This will also become a permanent physical display in the restored garden, a lasting record that you helped bring it back to life.

The first 75 supporters who pledge £25 or more are invited to an exclusive preview tour of the Walled Garden before it opens to the public. Walk the grounds, hear the story, and see the early stages of the transformation. Tour dates are in early May.

For Local Businesses

Support the Garden as a Business

If your business would like to support the restoration, we'd love to hear from you. Whether it's a financial contribution, sponsorship, in-kind support, or a team volunteering day, there are many ways to get involved.

Business supporters are recognised on our website and in the garden itself.
